Hi! My name is Sam Cohen and I own Home Team Sports. I have always been a sports fanatic and for most of my adult life I have been a collector of sports artwork and memorbilia. I love my wife, Alice, for many reasons, but mostly because she tolerates my unique and growing collection. In August of 1994, I resigned from my job and opened Home Team Sports on the town square in Covington, GA. I had a belief that I could make my living in the field that I loved and I was eager to try. I named my company HOME TEAM SPORTS because it was my intention to specialize in what I considered to be my "home teams." I wanted the focus of my business to be on the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, my two favorite teams.	After realizing that a beautiful and historic town square was not a good place for a retail store, I started doing collectible shows in shopping malls across the southeast and I was a vendor at the Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves games for a couple of years. In November of 1996, I opened a kiosk in the Macon Mall and have been here ever since, turning loyal customers into great friends. This will be our 10th Christmas in the Macon Mall and we have grown that small kiosk into an attractive in-line store that our customers call "The Bulldog Store" and we don't mind that at all! Then in September of 2003 I opened what I intended to be a seasonal store in the Augusta Mall. After the holidays, things were going well so we decided to stay in the mall and have been building relationships with the DAWG fans in the Augusta area ever since.
In August of 2008 I opened a second location in Macon. I wanted to find a place outside of the mall and that place is 120 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd, next to Hooter's. In this location is the largest Dawg House around and Dawg Heaven. Early in 2009, I closed the Macon Mall location, so if you shopped with us there, THANK YOU and we look forward to seeing you at our Tom Hill Sr location! I would like to introduce you to my staff...
Home Team Sports  Macon, GA Location 120 Tom Hill Sr Blvd (next to Hooter's) Brad Miller-Store Manager...Brad is an avid University of Georgia, Atlanta Braves, and Duke Basketball fan. He has been working with us since Christmas of 2000 and became our Macon store manager in March 2004. Brad is usually at the Macon Store. He is in charge of the daily operating of the store and ordering.	Home Team Sports Augusta Mall Location Augusta, GA I work in the Augusta store on most Monday's and Tuesday's, and i guess you could call me the store manager, maybe:) So, stop by and see me if you haven't already...I would like to meet you!
I feel very fortunate to have the staff that I have in both locations. I have also been very lucky in having good part-time employees that help fill in the gaps.
